Breabach delivers a thrilling and unique brand of contemporary folk music, which has earned the group international recognition on the world and roots music scene as one of the UK’s most dynamic and powerful bands.

Voted Best Group at the Scots Trad Music Awards, Breabach have also received nominations in the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and as European Folk Group of the Year in the German Folk Awards. The band intertwine highland bagpipes, fiddle, guitar, bass, flute, bouzouki, step dance, Gaelic and Scots song to produce a diverse and captivating performance.

Following this January’s sell out of the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall for The Big Burns Night during Celtic Connections, Breabach has performed from Paris and Norway to Central Park, NY. Ewan Robertson (guitar, vocals), James Duncan Mackenzie (pipes, flute), James Lindsay (double bass), Megan Henderson (fiddle, step dance, vocals) and Calum MacCrimmon (pipes, whistles, bouzkouki, vocals) will be returning to their hometowns to gather with family, friends and local tradition bearers to learn stories, tunes and take inspiration in advance of their highly anticipated fourth album due out in November 2013.
