Chrissy Crowley is a traditional fiddler and recording artist from Cape Breton who, since the 2007 release of her debut album, has been captivating audiences on an international level in performance throughout Canada, the United States, Ireland, Scotland, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic. She lives in the beautiful Margaree, a place known for its cherished musical culture which incorporates not only the tunes of the Scottish Gaels but also those of the area's Irish and French-Acadians. Chrissy has been inspired by the traditions of artists who have gone before, embracing the music of her Celtic roots and making it her own. In the process she was a winner of the Top 20 Under 20 in Canada Award in 2008, is a 3-time Canadian Folk Music Award nominee for Young Performer of the Year (2007, 2008, 2009), and a Music Nova Scotia Award nominee (2008). Her latest album is "The Departure", released in 2010.
