For as long as they can remember, Ciarán and Fiona MacGillivray have been performing for the many musical visitors who pass through their home on Cape Breton Island. (Ciarán and Fiona are the children of famed Canadian author/composer, Allister MacGillivray). Ciarán and Fiona's early public appearances included a performance for The Governor-General of Canada, a feature on the Pit Pony television series, and a guest spot on The Barra MacNeils's Christmas Special, which aired nationally in Canada and on select public television stations in the U.S.A. Besides singing, they play piano, guitar, harp, tin whistle, and bodhrán. They also stepdance, and are studying the Gaelic language of their ancestors. New frontiers include composing for Ciarán, and mastering the harp for Fiona.
