Described as being a prolific composer, Glenn released a book of over 200 original compositions a few years ago and also wrote the book The Cape Breton Fiddle: Making and Maintaining Tradition, released by CBU Press in 2006.
With five recordings and multiple East Coast Music Award nominations to his credit, it's no surprise that he has been a fixture on the music scene and is one of Cape Breton's most sought-after performers and music instructors.
Glenn is currently a PhD Doctoral candidate for Political Science at Dalhousie University and is writing a dissertation about comparative regionalism and the importance of culture to region-building in the Western Isles of Scotland and Cape Breton. He lectures at Dalhousie and continues to make time in his busy schedule for performing and teaching Cape Breton fiddle music.
