As a singer, pianist, fiddler, actress, hockey player, soccer player, and a recent graduate from Riverview High School, 18 year old Margaret MacPherson loves taking the stage. She started performing at a young age, and has received some amazing opportunities to perform with some very talented musicians from across the province. She will be attending Cape Breton University in the Fall for the Nursing Program and is looking forward to the new experience. She thoroughly enjoys performing Cape Breton tunes and plays many instruments including the piano, and the fiddle. She was the first recipient of the Paul Trepanier fiddle through the Treasures of Youth program with the Nova Scotia Highland Village Society and is currently using that fiddle for her second consecutive year. She started acting at the age of 9, where she played the role of Annie in the musical at the CBU Boardmore Playhouse. You may have seen her in the production of les Miserables, where she played the role of Eponine, or more recently as a murderess in Chicago. Margaret has enjoyed performing for audiences across the island and is currently employed by Enter Left Productions for a show called Portals.
