Fèis Rois is one of Scotland’s leading youth arts companies. The organisation aims to give young people the opportunity to experience and engage with traditional music and Gaelic culture in a manner which supports them in developing their social skills and inspires them to reach their full potential. In 2014, more than 3,000 young people will take part in Fèis Rois activities.

Fèis Rois brings three graduates from its successful Ceilidh Trail programme to Celtic Colours. The Ceilidh Trail is an innovative summer programme aimed at developing cultural tourism in the Highlands whilst also enabling outstanding young musicians to develop their performance skills. These three talented young musicians first met on The Ceilidh Trail in 2011 and, since then, have gone onto form The Mischa MacPherson Trio. Mischa MacPherson (Gaelic song and clarsach), Conal McDonagh (pipes & whistles) and Innes White (guitar & mandolin) are winners of the 2014 Danny Kyle Award at Celtic Connections and the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award.
