Celtic Colours International Festival is special. Unlike other festivals, our world-class concerts take place in a variety of rural communities all over beautiful Cape Breton Island. These communities have jumped on board to celebrate with us. Many local community groups, ladies auxiliaries and men’s clubs, non-profit organizations, art galleries, guilds, libraries and the university, are offering a wide range of activities that take place in the daytime before the concerts, or that happen after-hours. These events shed light on how the communities all over Cape Breton keep the Celtic culture alive and Cape Breton hospitality healthy.
We’re delighted to share a glimpse of the various types of events offered by these community organizations in association with our Festival. Take a moment to watch these videos, organized in a playlist of five new, brief videos, each highlighting one category of Community Cultural Events.
We’re thrilled to once again offer a full schedule of 230 Outdoor Events, Visual Art Series Events, Participatory Events, Learning Opportunities and Community Meals. The above videos provide a sneak peek at the community spirit ingrained in our partner organizations, and the enjoyment that our guests take from the experiences. You’ll want to include some of these in your Celtic Colours itinerary planning.
