The Celtic Colours International Festival and Cape Breton University is excited to host NAFCo for the first time on our fair island!
NAFCo was founded in 2001 in Aberdeen, Scotland, with the intention of promoting the world of fiddling and dancing to new audiences, and make it possible for traditional and modern fiddling cultures to exchange knowledge, ideas, and music.
NAFCo will offer fascinating papers and presentations to delegates and visitors, informative public workshops on fiddling, related instruments and dance, and exciting live performances.
NAFCo will be held on October 13 and 14 at the Membertou Trade and Convention Centre in Sydney, and October 16 and 17 at the Inverary Inn in Baddeck, offering a full experience of the Cape Breton’s exciting urban and beautiful rural locales. October 15 will be organized as a day of touring.
