Two Cape Breton authors read from their award winning novels punctuated by tunes and Gaelic songs for a unique and intimate afternoon.

Tonight is more of a feast than a taste…three powerful bands from three islands, songs from home and away, so if you missed Fiddlers’ Bid last night, here’s your chance!

Newfoundland tunes and songs drift over the mountain to meet the sounds of Cape Breton as three friends make fiddles and piano soar with delight. Kelly would be smiling tonight.

Four language groups originally settled Cape Breton. Tonight the Mi’Kmaq welcome the French, Gaelic and English as they did centuries ago. It’s a unique cultural gathering…a Mawio’mi.

You’ve sampled the “taste” and you still want more? After the show, kick back with a pint and more music just down the street at the Curling Club.

Located at the Gaelic College in St. Ann’s, the licensed Festival Club offers an opportunity for artists to showcase in a more informal setting, as well as get a session in with friends and colleagues from near and far.
