Cape Breton has a long history of mining and labour struggles. Tonight the current generation brings us songs created today from a bygone era. The famous Men of the Deeps show their approval in spades.

Acadian traditions meet the reunited Brakin’ Tradition tonight for some great music from both genres. It’s a reunion filled with fun and nostalgia.

This picturesque wee church heard many a train whistle in days gone by. Tonight it will be serenaded by songs and guitar tunes from down the road and beautiful strings from Denmark.

Tonight will push the boundaries of a ceilidh. Three young groups cover all the bases of song, tunes and dance, but beware the youthful energy. It’s catching.

There will be a bit more than a touch of Irish as Cape Breton and Ireland meet in Lower River. Friends will re-connect as they find the songs and tunes they share while we get to watch and listen.

If you have an appetite for dance we have a feast for you tonight…Cape Breton steps, close to the floor, Irish sean nos, Highland and Metis jigs, so fill your boots!

Located at the Gaelic College in St. Ann’s, the licensed Festival Club offers an opportunity for artists to showcase in a more informal setting, as well as get a session in with friends and colleagues from near and far.
