Spring has sprung in Cape Breton – along with a snow storm! Not to worry. Soon it will be hot beach days and before we know it Celtic Colours will be seen and heard all over the Island.
Joella attended the Celtic Connections festival in Glasgow in January. Many thanks to all our friends there for the wonderful hospitality and music. Colin Hynd and the whole Connections gang have been unwavering in their support for Celtic Colours from the beginning and we really appreciate it.
March 22nd was the final day for Expressions of Interest from community organizations that are interested in hosting a Celtic Colours event. Interest is stronger than ever this year which will make for some challenging decisions by the Celtic Colours Board. The communities are the bedrock on which the festival is built. Last year there were 36 community groups from all parts of Cape Breton who took part in hosting Celtic Colours events.
Some deadlines that may be of interest to you in planning your visit are as follows:
1 – We will attempt to post the schedule of venues on the site by mid April.
2 – We will post the show lineups by June 14th.
3 – Tickets will go on sale July 15th.
