A Cape Breton Mawio’mi

Saturday October 6th

Wagmatcook Culture and Heritage Centre, Wagmatcook – 7:30 PM, Tickets: $30/25, Reserved Seating

Four language groups originally settled Cape Breton. Tonight the Mi’kmaq welcome the French, Gaelic and English as they did centuries ago. They also welcome back their Métis cousins the Asham Stompers who took the festival by storm last year. This will be a multi-cultural celebration in the First Nations community of Wagmatcook that showcases Métis, Mi'kmaq, and Acadian dancers, Mi'kmaq drummers, Gaelic songs and Cape Breton tunes for a unique cultural gathering…a Mawio’mi.
