When the band Brakin’ Tradition was performing all over Cape Breton in the 1990s, they were never far from their roots. Some of those roots were firmly planted in Acadian tradition. Tonight they are reuniting at one of their old stomping grounds, Cheticamp. Cyril MacPhee is this year’s Artist in Residence. His French connection is through his mother and he’ll add his songs to mix. Cyril is thrilled to be welcoming back Vishtèn with their high energy PEI brand of Acadian music, making this a full-fledged Acadian reunion.
