Fiddles and Prose

Saturday October 6th

St. Matthew's United Church, Inverness – 2:00 PM, Tickets: SOLD OUT,

Storytelling is a big part of what we do in Cape Breton. Its cultural significance extends from being an entertaining pastime to preserving traditions to informing the songs we sing and the music we make. This concert brings storytelling and music together as two Cape Breton authors will read from their award-winning novels punctuated by tunes and Gaelic songs. Both authors are from the area around this beautiful and intimate venue and both stories, based in Cape Breton, are closely connected to music, language and song.

Nearby meal: Luncheon, Inverness County Centre for the Arts
