Fiddling Families

Monday October 8th

Judique Community Centre, Judique – 7:30 PM, Tickets: $30/25, Reserved Seating

Fiddling tends to run in families. In Cape Breton it’s the Beatons and in PEI it’s the Chaissons. There is a long history of tunes shared between the two families and the two islands, whether it be the Chaissons playing for a dance in West Mabou or the Beatons at Rollo Bay Fiddle Fest. The family patriarchs were good friends, with Donald Angus Beaton writing "Joe Chaisson’s Jig". No doubt there will be matching tunes in heaven as these families take the stage in Judique!

Nearby meal: Seafood Choices, Celtic Music Interpretive Centre
