From Celtic to Creole

Monday October 13th

D'Escousse Civic Improvement Hall, D'Escousse – 7:30 PM, Tickets: $30/25, Reserved Seating

Irish, Creole and Acadian roots are showing in D’Escousse as fiddles, accordions, and guitars get your feet tapping as you raise your voice in song. McGinty are sure to get you singing and your toes tapping with their repertoire of Maritime favourites. Howie MacDonald and Brenda Stubbert reveal the best of their friendship on stage as they readily share music and laughs, complementing each other throughout by easily moving from fiddle to piano and back again. Our new friends Les Amis Creole from Louisiana will take the energy up a notch further with their unique take on traditional Creole music, and new compositions that expand the genre while still respecting its roots. And it’s always a treat to see Gervais and Maxim perform on stage together, just like they would at their house, father and son.
