The best and surest way to pass along a culture is within the family. Whether it's passed on from parent to child, among siblings, or as part of a family or community's history, Cape Breton's traditional music has depended on this transmission of culture for generations. Today the generations show us how it's done. Betty Lou Beaton and her daughter Andrea, Maxim Cormier and his father Gervais, sisters Dawn and Helen MacDonald, Buddy MacMaster's daughter Mary Elizabeth MacInnis, Joanne MacIntyre and Féis Mhàbu Gaelic Singers will show us how important family and community are to this process.
