Gigging with the Galway Girl

Friday October 17th

Inverness Education Centre/Academy, Inverness – 7:30 PM, Tickets: $30/25, Reserved Seating

Sharon Shannon stepped on stage at our first Celtic Colours and returned to Ireland with our hearts. The Galway Girl was already making a name for herself and we understood why. Nobody played the accordion like Sharon. Tonight we’re thrilled that she’s back sharing the spotlight with two exciting family bands. The Chaisson Family is the PEI version of the Beaton’s. They have passed down the fiddle, piano, guitar and dance traditions to this generation and frequently made the trip across the water to Cape Breton. All Fired Up is three brothers who grew up down the road. Nurtured in Inverness County, they remain committed to the music and the Gaelic language. Add Dara and Adam on fiddle and piano and we’ve got a gig to die for.
