Strings Across the Miles

Wednesday October 15th

North Highlands Elementary, Aspy Bay – 7:30 PM, Tickets: $30/25, Reserved Seating

String players delight in getting together and swapping tunes. Tonight they come from across the country and across the ocean. The Fretless is a quartet who hale from BC. With three fiddles and a cello they have transformed fiddle tunes into intricate high-energy arrangements. Qristina and Quinn Bachand are also from BC. Passionate and expressive fiddle combined with creative and contemporary guitar make these young siblings a very special combo. Adam Sutherland and Hamish Napier from Scotland are making their first visit to Celtic Colours. Adam is renowned for both his fiddle playing and his compositions while Hamish sings and makes the piano talk. Buddy and Rachel will hold up our end in style as the Cape Breton songs and tunes flow freely.

The Nearby meal: Top of the Island Traditional Seafood Dinner is now SOLD OUT but there is another community dinner offering nearby. Tickets for Ham & Potato Salad can be purchased through the box office.
