Kathleen MacInnes was born and brought up on South Uist in a Gaelic speaking home, and has enjoyed an interesting career in television, as an actress, presenter and singer. Kathleen has been a regular guest on music programmes such as MacTV’s “Bard nan Orain”, BBC’s award-winning series “Aig Cridhe ar Ciuil” and Mike Alexander’s “Columba Sessions” where she sang alongside leading Scottish and Irish singers and musicians. Kathleen also took part in the concert “Flower of The West”, a tribute to Runrig brothers Calum and Ruaraidh MacDonald and Blas, as the support singer to Van Morrison.

Keith Mullins
Keith Mullins has always played music. A lifetime of songwriting, a degree in classical music with studies in Africa and Cuba, and growing up in a musical Cape Breton family has made Keith into a one-of-a-kind musician whose versatility has put him on stage with the East Coast’s finest musicians. The multiple ECMA-winner released two albums in the past year, his debut Localmotive Farm on which he plays many of the instruments and is joined by Gordie Sampson, Dutch Robinson and Jorge Chicoy, and The Wood Buffalo Youth Song Project where Keith, Thom Swift and Steven Bowers wrote songs with students and recorded an album to be used for fundraising.
Kenneth MacKenzie
Kenneth is well-known for his lively traditional style and for the strong Gaelic flavor to his playing. Raised in a Gaelic-speaking and very musical family in Mabou, Cape Breton Island, Kenneth has been immersed in the Scottish language and culture since birth. He has been piping and teaching at dances, concerts and festivals all over the Atlantic Provinces, Ontario, Scotland and beyond for several years now and counts well known pipers John MacLean, Iain MacDonald and Angus MacKenzie, his older brother as his biggest musical influences.
Kenneth MacLeod
Kenneth comes from a musical and well known family. With roots in Inverness, Cape Breton, Kenneth spent much of his time between Cape Breton and Ontario. He plays a variety of instruments but is best known for his fiddle playing. You can often find him and his sister Marion performing at the Broad Cove Concert each year. He’ll be doing the same at the Fiddles and Prose concert along side his father, Alistair MacLeod.
Kimberley Fraser
Kimberley Fraser is a multitalented musician from Sydney Mines. Equally in demand for her fiddle and piano skills, she performs and teaches workshops all over North America and across the Atlantic. A Tic Butler award-winner and St. Francis Xavier graduate in Celtic Studies and Jazz, Kimberley went on to study music at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Still in her 20s, Kimberley has released two records, won an ECMA, played with Ashley MacIsaac, Natalie MacMaster, Gordie Sampson, John Allan Cameron and Irish supergroup Cherish The Ladies and shared stages with such notables as Alasdair Fraser, Lunasa and Danu.
Nuala Kennedy
Nuala Kennedy is an Irish singer and flute player with hauntingly beautiful vocals, adventurous instrumentation, and an eclectic mix of influences. Her singing and flute playing springs from the traditional music of Ireland and Scotland, and from the fathomless realms of her own imagination. A consummate performer with a buoyant personality, her music has been described as unique, evocative, and soul-satisfying. Nuala grew up in Dundalk, Co. Louth, on the East coast of Ireland, a musical area steeped in mythology with long historical links to Scotland. The combination of the best influences of the two cultures, Scottish and Irish, is what has made Nuala the artist she is today.
Paul MacDonald
Paul MacDonald is a musician of many talents who has traveled throughout traditional music circles both at home and abroad. An accomplished guitarist, Paul has performed with musicians such as Jerry Holland, Joe Derrane, Sharon Shannon, John MacLean and The Boys of The Lough. Paul is also a skilful and creative music producer and engineer and his audio restorations have put many fine old recordings back into circulation. Since 2003, Paul has lectured on Celtic Music at St. FX University, Antigonish, presenting old recordings he has collected throughout his career. Paul has performed with violin-maker and composer Otis Tomas since 1988.
Ray Legere
Ray Legere is one of today’s most honored Bluegrass fiddlers. His many awards include five-time winner of the Eastern and Central Division Bluegrass Awards in the categories of Mandolin and Fiddle, winner of two Open Mandolin Championships and finalist in the Canadian and Nashville’s Grand Masters Fiddle Championships. Ray’s extensive tour schedule includes backing artists like Michelle Shocked, Tony Rice, John McDermott, Alison Brown, Rita McNeil and finding time to be “house fiddler” for a popular French Canadian music TV series. He has recorded for hundreds of sessions and graced world-renowned stages such as Carnegie Hall and the Grand Ole Opry.
