We’re Number One!

TORONTO, Ontario, August 23, 2005 – – A new study of who’s tops
and who’s not in Canadian weather has now been completed by Environment
Canada’s senior climatologist David Phillips.

This study
analyzes Canada’s 13 provinces and territories using over 30 years of
weather data, ranking them in 70 weather categories. “Some of the
results will be sure to surprise you,” said David Phillips, author of
the study.

Visitors to the Celtic Colours International Festival will not be
surprised to learn that Nova Scotia ranks first in Canada as having the
warmest and sunniest falls.

This is in addition to Cape Breton Island being recognized by Conde Nast Magazine for its scenic beauty and friendly people (voted number one in the world by its readership) and by National Geographic Traveler as among the top travel destinations in the world.
