Hosted by: J. Franklin Wright Gallery, Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre

Like the thread of a tartan, the heartstrings of a Cape Bretoner are woven and bound to the Geography of Home. The Geography of Cape Breton engages both the local and the come from away through its landscape and culture which is unique in the strength of its diversity. The Home of Cape Breton is carried in the heart, a belonging with ties that bind.

Dhachaidh is to bring the past to meet the present, creating the heirlooms of tomorrow with the haunting beauty of the past using the formal qualities of the historical cultural icons juxtaposed with the contemporary Geography.

Patricia MacNeil is a bi-coastal artist with studios on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia and Vancouver Island, British Columbia.
